CW gives every new show a full season!

The CW just ordered a full season pick up for its three freshmen drama: The Originals, The Tomorrow People, and Reign. It was almost a given that the network would grant a full season to The Vampire Diaries spin-off. The Originals has averaged 2.7 million viewers in the 18-49 demo. Plus, the network needed to keep at least one new drama due to low ratings for sophomore shows The Carrie Diaries and Beauty and the Beast.

The Tomorrow People is averaging 2.4 million viewers, while Reign has been averaging 2.1 million viewers. Since Reign has the lowest numbers, many assumed it would get the ax to pave way for the drama Star Crossed. It is like Twilight, but with aliens. Another drama in the pipeline is The 100. The concept is Lost  meets Avatar.

The goal of the network is to air original programming all year long and by keeping all three dramas around they hope to achieve this goal.
