The 7th season will be the last for the HBO drama
True Blood. The network made the announcement shortly after renewing the show. The cancellation is most likely due to a ratings decline that had began with the start of the 5th season.
The final season will contain 10 episodes and air in Summer 2014.
True Blood was nominated for an Emmy in 2010 and actress Anna Paquin captured a 2009 Golden Globe for her performance as Sookie Stackhouse.
