Tim's Top Picks: Tuesday

Here is what is on TV tonight:

8-9 PM

ABC - If you thought you never had to see Kate Gosselin again you would be wrong. She will be switching lives with former Playboy Playmate Kendra Wilkinson on Celebrity Wife Swap.

FOX - On a full hour of Raising Hope, Smokey Floyd visits Hope's birthday party and Hilary Duff guest stars as Jimmy's Ex.

BEST BET: NCIS always delivers the drama but I'll take Hilary Duff on Raising Hope.

9-10 PM

ABC - There are 9 remaining contestants on The Taste. They must prepare a dish using any and all parts of an animal. Sounds tasty...

CBS - Sam helps someone search for his missing nephew on NCIS: LA.

FOX - A pro football player takes an interest in Jess on New Girl, while Mindy rekindles a romance with someone she met at Jewish Summer camp on Mindy Project.

NBC - Ryan asks Simone to move in with him on Go On and the gang plans a baby shower for Bryan and David on The New Normal

BEST BET: Cult looks like it has potential, but it is too early to tell. Stick with the New Girl/Mindy Project combo.

ABC - Tonight's conclusion of the Season 3 premiere of Body of Proof finds Megan learning why the serial killer is targeting war veterans.

CBS - The series premiere of Golden Boy introduces us to Walter William Clark Jr., the youngest police commissioner in New York City's history.

FOX - Local Programming

NBC - Tonight's episode of Smash will find Ronnie dealing with her bossy mother and Jimmy's ego could ruin a big break for himself and Kyle.

BEST BET: Golden Boy could prove worthwhile.

Betty White is the new Ashton Kutcher

If you have yet to see "Betty White's Off Their Rockers," you are missing out. The premise of the show is simple: old people pranking young people. The show is currently in its second season and airs on NBC on Tuesdays at 8 PM.

"Big Brother" may not return until Summer 2013, but read this article I wrote in 2011 about the 10 Most Annoying Houseguests!

Big Brother is watching and so are the viewers. "Big Brother" has proven to be a summer smash since it debuted in 2000. The premise has changed over the course of 12 seasons, but the fighting, laughing, and romancing have always been present. The following list showcases the ten most annoying houseguests over the years.

10. Amber "Big Brother 8"
Amber was a nice enough girl, but her constant crying is what landed her on this list. No matter if her BFF Dustin was being evicted or she accidentally stepped on a bug, "Whamber" would be shedding tears forever and ever and ever --
9. Jase "Big Brother 5" and "Big Brother All-Stars"
Jase is #9 on this list because of his arrogant attitude. How he was invited back for "Big Brother All-Stars" is a mystery. Isn't the definition of an All-Star someone who excelled at the game? I wouldn't classify someone who placed 10th on his or her season as an All-Star or even a mediocre player.
8. Ragan "Big Brother 12"
Ragan always told Rachel the derogatory comments she made were inappropriate and hurtful. That is a true statement, but most of the things Ragan said to her were just as bad. Ragan's incessant whining and the fact he was a "floater" for a majority of the game helped him reach #8 on this list.
7. Ivette "Big Brother 6"
Ivette's love for the irritating Eric AKA Cappy scored her the #7 position. The reason she made the cut and not him is because viewers had to tolerate her and her "nerd herd" companion Maggie all the way until the final episode. Also, her bad-mouthing of Janelle, a fan favorite, didn't help her to become any less annoying.
6. Enzo "Big Brother 12"
The "Meow-Meow" had his moments. But as far as game play, he had none. It was really hard to stomach his diary room sessions claiming he was the brains of his alliance with Hayden, Lane, and Matt. If "Big Brother" handed out awards for the person who was most likely to never win a competition, Enzo would have finally won something aside from ranking #6 on this list.
5. Jerry "Big Brother 10"
Jerry is the reason why old people should not be selected to be on a reality show. A younger and more athletic person could have filled his spot for the tenth installment. Plus, if I wanted to hear an elderly man spout racist remarks, I could talk to my Aunt's husband for twenty minutes.
4. Chelsia "Big Brother 9"
The reason Chelsia is on this list is mostly because she was a bitch. Her eviction speech, where she basically called everyone out including a very inappropriate for television description of Sheila, shows just how classy she truly was.
3. Jessie "Big Brother 10" and "Big Brother 11"
Seeing Jessie evicted early on in the tenth season of "Big Brother" was a dream come true. He was cocky and slept all the time. Who wants to hear someone talk about themselves every time they are in the diary room? Apparently, CBS thought the viewers did and brought him back in season 11. Thankfully, he was gone again after only a few weeks.
2. Dick and Daniele "Big Brother 8"
It was really hard to decide who was more annoying of the Donato's, so they both are the #2 pick. Dick's constant harassment of the other houseguests was hard to watch and Daniele's complaining to her father, whom she wanted nothing to do with, made it a really upsetting season finale. It was like choosing the lesser of two evils.
1. Mike "Boogie" "Big Brother 2" and "Big Brother All-Stars"
Talk about someone hungry for fame -- "Boogie" scored the top spot on this list just because of his smug personality, his bromance with Dr. Will, and his lame nickname. If you are a 40 year old male who dresses like he thinks he is a "gangsta" and proposes to someone he's known for one summer on live TV, you definitely deserve to be the most annoying houseguest in "Big Brother" history.

"How I Met Your Mother" has been on the air for 8 years and viewers still does not know who Ted will marry. Recent episodes have given us more information about who she may be and even hinting that she may be unveiled in the season finale. Until then, read this article I wrote in 2011 with my top three picks on who should play the Mother.

“How I Met Your Mother” first premiered in 2005. After six hilarious seasons, viewers still don’t know who the mother is. With all the laughing we are doing when we watch, are we really worried about that? No. However, over the years viewers have been teased with “Mother” contenders like Sarah Chalke and Rachel Bilson, and have probably even envisioned an actress or two to take over the coveted role of Mrs. Ted Mosby. Here is a look at three actresses that would be an ideal “Mother”.
Alyssa Milano has been on television for year starring on hit shows like “Who’s the Boss” and “Charmed”. Sadly, her last show, “Romantically Challenge,” was cancelled after one season. Milano is beautiful, smart, and funny. That combination will make her Ted’s perfect dream girl and a great addition to an already get comedy.
The “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and “Angel” actress has not been seen much in recent years, except for popping up once in awhile on “Greek”. Carpenter is great with comedic timing as showcased by her turn as Cordelia Chase from 1997-2004. Plus, she has already worked with Alyson Hannigan, so the on-screen chemistry will already be present.
Minka Kelly is already attached to star in the new “Charlie’s Angels” reboot, but that doesn’t mean she can’t play double duty on “How I Met Your Mother”. Kelly is no stranger to television starring on critically acclaimed “Friday Night Lights” and making multiple guest appearances on “Parenthood”. It is about time this lovely lady delved into comedic acting and what better place than an ensemble comedy like “How I Met Your Mother”?
Who do you think should play Mrs. Ted Mosby?

"The Office" may be going off the air this May, but read this article I wrote in 2011 that rates the work habits of the employees at our favorite paper company!

Source: www.planetminecraft.com

This article grades some of the characters of ‘The Office’ on how hard of a worker they actually are.
Earlier this season, Andy claimed he had the lowest sales numbers out of everyone at Dunder Mifflin Sabre. Plus, he seems more concerned with finding the woman of his dreams or singing a song than selling paper and printer products. Grade: C-
Ryan has to be the laziest employee at Dunder Mifflin Sabre. At one time, he was on the top of his game, but recently he was sentenced to office space in the janitor’s closet. That doesn’t sound like a hard worker. Grade: F
If drinking on the job were legal, Meredith would be running the show. As Supplier Relations Manager, she felt it was her duty to sleep with a deliveryman for discounts. That is a big no-no. In her defense, she was hit by a car and had a rabies scare. Grade: B-
Pam did a pretty great job as Michael’s secretary, but in the sales department, she didn’t excel. She has found her place at Dunder Mifflin Sabre as the Office Manager. She orders supplies and makes sure the office is running smoothly. However, she does get distracted by Jim’s pranks. Grade: A-
Good looks can only get you so far. If you hate your job, it is going to get you as far as a salesman. Jim feels stuck at his job and would rather pull a prank on Dwight than make a sales call. If he held a managerial position, Jim would probably be the best employee at Dunder Mifflin Sabre. Until then, he’s average at best. Grade: C
Dwight loves his job. He always tries to be number one and will do whatever Michael asks of him. However, the way he belittles and insults his co-workers and his clients lower his credibility as a sales person. Grade: B
There are rarely any complaints about Kelly’s work habits, but that is probably due to her lack of doing any work. If pining over Ryan or talking about celebrity gossip were part of her daily duties, she would be CEO of Dunder Mifflin Sabre. However, a Customer Service Representative should care about the clients more than she cares about herself. Grade: D+
Michael was able to keep the Dunder Mifflin Scranton branch profitable when most companies were going paper free. He was able to do this while sleeping on the job and holding meetings about irrelevant things like prison or murder mysteries. Anyone that can do that must be a top-notch employee. Grade: A+

I decided to create a blog so I could share my love of TV with all of my Facebook friends. You will get to read critiques of all genres of shows. My readers will also be able to see clips and get advice on what to watch. I will also talk about interesting television news and will welcome any ideas from my audience. I look forward to taking this journey with you all!
